Un
Familiar
Terrain
From performance to installation, and sculpture to participatory art, this unique one-day show raises questions about seeming fragility of familiar socio-cultural terrains and invites the participants to envision new ways of being. UnFamiliar Terrain showcases works where the known and unknown blur, where artists trace and unravel memory, identity, and the structures that shape our lives. Each work in this exhibition moves between familiarity and disorientation, challenging our perceptions of self, nature, relationships, and structures that shape our lives. This exhibition disrupts certainty and interrogates. Through diverse media and methods from sculpture and painting to performance and participatory art, the artists examine, confront, and explore themes of belonging, transformation, and care. Whether through the struggle for autonomy, the fragility of communication, or the way landscapes and bodies bear change. Rather than offering easy conclusions, UnFamiliar Terrain asks us to sit with discomfort and question our assumptions. It is an invitation to navigate the unknown, not to resolve it, but to witness, reflect, and imagine new ways of being.
